2012 End of the World, is a supposed doomsday event that may lead to the destruction of civilization and the death of billions. The year 2012 is a speculative time-frame (or date) from now until the end of that year, by which it's believed that calamities like Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Floods, Hurricanes, Droughts, Fires, Volcanoes, Meteorite Strikes and a Pole Shift - among other natural events - will be increasing (like never before), resulting in the death of billions. This 2012 date only suggests the earliest, and most widely accepted 'end date' for the supposed approaching doomsday event, or end of the world. This date is also believed by some to bring about the Second Coming or Return of Jesus Christ to Judge the remaining living and the already dead. But is this supposed doomsday in 2012 or end of the world really approaching, or is it just a hype to scare people and earn money? What do the facts tell us?

But will this doomsday really occur in 2012? No one knows for sure. 2012 is not carved in stone. But that the end of the world is really approaching, who can deny it? The geological evidence (which we will look at) speaks for itself. 2010 might just be the most disastrous year ever on record since record-keeping began, and as time goes by, it will only grow worse.
This year alone (2010), more than 400 major natural disasters have hit the world so far, killing hundreds of thousands of people and affecting hundreds of millions of people! And, according to the EM-DAT (Emergency Events Database), the total number of natural disasters reported each year has been steadily increasing in recent decades, from 78 in 1970 to 348 in 2004. However, about two-thirds of the increase is real and the result of rises in so-called hydro-meteorological disasters, Guha-Sapir of EM-DAT said. These disasters include droughts, tsunamis, hurricanes, typhoons and floods and have been increasing over the past 25 years. In 1980, there were only about 100 such disasters reported per year but that number has risen to over 300 a year since 2000.

So, what are the news reports for the year 2010? Let's take a look at a few of them, for by doing so, we can get a grasp of what might be awaiting us in the years to come.

“One sees a pattern of natural disasters occurring more frequently. It must also be recognized that some 40 percent of humanity lives within 100 km of the coast. Because of this, disasters that emanate from the seas cause maximum damage,” Indian Navy chief Admiral Nirmal Verma told reporters.

The frequency of natural disasters in the world has risen from 10 per year to 40 in the past decade, an expert pointed out, adding that the south and southeast Asian regions were particularly prone to disasters.

“Tsunamis, cyclones, tornadoes, earthquakes, floods have been affecting the region with increased frequency. There has been four-fold increase in the frequency of disasters in the past decade and the increase is likely to be five-fold over the next five years,” Commodore (retd) Rajeev Sawhney of think tank United Services Institution told IANS.”

You don’t have to be a meteorologist, seismologist, or any other ologist to see that the frequency and intensity of natural disasters and extreme weather events seems to have significantly increased over the last few decades. Massive flooding from extreme precipitation; raging wildfires from prolonged droughts; monster hurricanes or super tsunamis or giant earthquakes all seem to have become much more common headlines over this time period.

NEW YORK – Floods, fires, melting ice and feverish heat: From smoke-choked Moscow to water-soaked Iowa and the High Arctic, the planet seems to be having a midsummer breakdown. It's not just a portent of things to come, scientists say, but a sign of troubling climate change already under way.

The weather-related cataclysms of July and August fit patterns predicted by climate scientists, the Geneva-based World Meteorological Organization says — although those scientists always shy from tying individual disasters directly to global warming.

The experts now see an urgent need for better ways to forecast extreme events like Russia's heat wave and wildfires and the record deluge devastating Pakistan. They'll discuss such tools in meetings this month and next in Europe and America, under United Nations, U.S. and British government sponsorship.

"There is no time to waste," because societies must be equipped to deal with global warming, says British government climatologist Peter Stott.

He said modelers of climate systems are "very keen" to develop supercomputer modeling that would enable more detailed linking of cause and effect as a warming world shifts jet streams and other atmospheric currents. Those changes can wreak weather havoc.

The U.N.'s network of climate scientists — the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) — has long predicted that rising global temperatures would produce more frequent and intense heat waves, and more intense rainfalls. In its latest assessment, in 2007, the Nobel Prize-winning panel went beyond that. It said these trends "have already been observed," in an increase in heat waves since 1950, for example.

Still, climatologists generally refrain from blaming warming for this drought or that flood, since so many other factors also affect the day's weather.

Stott and NASA's Gavin Schmidt, at the Goddard Institute of Space Studies in New York, said it's better to think in terms of odds: Warming might double the chances for heat waves, for example. "That is exactly what's happening," Schmidt said, "a lot more warm extremes and less cold extremes."

The WMO pointed out that this summer's events fit the international scientists' projections of "more frequent and more intense extreme weather events due to global warming."

In fact, in key cases they're a perfect fit:


It's been the hottest summer ever recorded in Russia, with Moscow temperatures topping 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37.8 degrees C) for the first time. Russia's drought has sparked hundreds of wildfires in forests and dried peat bogs, blanketing Moscow with a toxic smog that finally lifted Thursday after six days. The Russian capital's death rate doubled to 700 people a day at one point. The drought reduced the wheat harvest by more than one-third.
The 2007 IPCC report predicted a doubling of disastrous droughts in Russia this century and cited studies foreseeing catastrophic fires during dry years. It also said Russia would suffer large crop losses.


The heaviest monsoon rains on record — 12 inches (300 millimeters) in one 36-hour period — have sent rivers rampaging over huge swaths of countryside, flooding thousands of villages. It has left 14 million Pakistanis homeless or otherwise affected, and killed 1,500. The government calls it the worst natural disaster in the nation's history.

A warmer atmosphere can hold — and discharge — more water. The 2007 IPCC report said rains have grown heavier for 40 years over north Pakistan and predicted greater flooding this century in south Asia's monsoon region.


China is witnessing its worst floods in decades, the WMO says, particularly in the northwest province of Gansu. There, floods and landslides last weekend killed at least 1,100 people and left more than 600 missing, feared swept away or buried beneath mud and debris.

The IPCC reported in 2007 that rains had increased in northwest China by up to 33 percent since 1961, and floods nationwide had increased sevenfold since the 1950s. It predicted still more frequent flooding this century.


In Iowa, soaked by its wettest 36-month period in 127 years of recordkeeping, floodwaters from three nights of rain this week forced hundreds from their homes and killed a 16-year-old girl.

The international climate panel projected increased U.S. precipitation this century — except for the Southwest — and more extreme rain events causing flooding.


Researchers last week spotted a 100-square-mile (260-square-kilometer) chunk of ice calved off from the great Petermann Glacier in Greenland's far northwest. It was the most massive ice island to break away in the Arctic in a half-century of observation.

The huge iceberg appeared just five months after an international scientific team published a report saying ice loss from the Greenland ice sheet is expanding up its northwest coast from the south.

Changes in the ice sheet "are happening fast, and we are definitely losing more ice mass than we had anticipated," said one of the scientists, NASA's Isabella Velicogna.
In the Arctic Ocean itself, the summer melt of the vast ice cap has reached unprecedented proportions in recent years. Satellite data show the ocean area covered by ice last month was the second-lowest ever recorded for July.

The melting of land ice into the oceans is causing about 60 percent of the accelerating rise in sea levels worldwide, with thermal expansion from warming waters causing the rest. The WMO'S World Climate Research Program says seas are rising by 1.34 inches (34 millimeters) per decade, about twice the 20th century's average.

Worldwide temperature readings, meanwhile, show that this January-June was the hottest first half of a year since recordkeeping began in the mid-19th century. Meteorologists say 17 nations have recorded all-time-high temperatures in 2010, more than in any other year.
Scientists blame the warming on carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases pouring into the atmosphere from power plants, cars and trucks, furnaces and other fossil fuel-burning industrial and residential sources [the real culprit however, is the Sun].

Governments around the world, especially in poorer nations that will be hard-hit, are scrambling to find ways and money to adapt to shifts in climate and rising seas...

This was the year the Earth struck back.

Earthquakes, heat waves, floods, volcanoes, super typhoons, blizzards, landslides and droughts killed at least a quarter million people in 2010 — the deadliest year in more than a generation. More people were killed worldwide by natural disasters this year than have been killed in terrorism attacks in the past 40 years combined.

“It just seemed like it was back-to-back and it came in waves,” said Craig Fugate, who heads the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency. It handled a record number of disasters in 2010.

“The term ‘100-year event' really lost its meaning this year.”

And we have ourselves to blame most of the time, scientists and disaster experts say.

Even though many catastrophes have the ring of random chance, the hand of man made this a particularly deadly, costly, extreme and weird year for everything from wild weather to earthquakes.

Poor construction and development practices conspire to make earthquakes more deadly than they need be. More people live in poverty in vulnerable buildings in crowded cities. That means that when the ground shakes, the river breaches, or the tropical cyclone hits, more people die.

The January earthquake that killed well more than 220,000 people in Haiti is a perfect example. Port-au-Prince has nearly three times as many people - many of them living in poverty - and more poorly built shanties than it did 25 years ago. So had the same quake hit in 1985 instead of 2010, total deaths would have probably been in the 80,000 range, said Richard Olson, director of disaster risk reduction at Florida International University.

In February, an earthquake that was more than 500 times stronger than the one that struck Haiti hit an area of Chile that was less populated, better constructed, and not as poor. Chile's bigger quake caused fewer than 1,000 deaths.

Climate scientists say Earth's climate also is changing thanks to man-made global warming, bringing extreme weather, such as heat waves and flooding. [It's really the Sun who is to blame, don't believe their lies.]

In the summer, one weather system caused oppressive heat in Russia, while farther south it caused flooding in Pakistan that inundated 62,000 square miles, about the size of Wisconsin. That single heat-and-storm system killed almost 17,000 people, more people than all the worldwide airplane crashes in the past 15 years combined.

No one had to tell a mask-wearing Vera Savinova how bad it could get. She is a 52-year-old administrator in a dental clinic who in August took refuge from Moscow's record heat, smog and wildfires.

“I think it is the end of the world,” she said. “Our planet warns us against what would happen if we don't care about nature.”

The excessive amount of extreme weather that dominated 2010 is a classic sign of man-made global warming that climate scientists have long warned about. They calculate that the killer Russian heat wave — setting a national record of 111 degrees — would happen once every 100,000 years without global warming.

Preliminary data show that 18 countries broke their records for the hottest day ever.

“These (weather) events would not have happened without global warming,” said Kevin Trenberth, chief of climate analysis for the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colo.

That's why the people who study disasters for a living say it would be wrong to chalk 2010 up to just another bad year.

Here's a quick tour of an anything but normal 2010:


While the Haitian earthquake, Russian heat wave, and Pakistani flooding were the biggest killers, deadly quakes also struck Chile, Turkey, China and Indonesia in one of the most active seismic years in decades. Through mid-December there have been 20 earthquakes of magnitude 7.0 or higher, compared with the normal 16. This year is tied for the most big quakes since 1970, but it is not a record. Nor is it a significantly above average year for the number of strong earthquakes, U.S. earthquake officials say.

Flooding alone this year killed more than 6,300 people in 59 nations through September, according to the World Health Organization. In the United States, 30 people died in the Nashville, Tenn., region in flooding. Inundated countries include China, Italy, India, Colombia and Chad. Super Typhoon Megi with winds of more than 200 mph devastated the Philippines and parts of China.

Through Nov. 30, nearly 260,000 people died in natural disasters in 2010, compared to 15,000 in 2009, according to Swiss Re. The World Health Organization, which hasn't updated its figures past Sept. 30, is just shy of 250,000. By comparison, deaths from terrorism from 1968 to 2009 were less than 115,000, according to reports by the U.S. State Department and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

The charity Oxfam says 21,000 of this year's disaster deaths are weather related.


After strong early year blizzards — nicknamed Snowmageddon — paralyzed the U.S. mid-Atlantic and record snowfalls hit Russia and China, the temperature turned to broil.

The year may go down as the hottest on record worldwide or at the very least in the top three, according to the World Meteorological Organization. The average global temperature through the end of October was 58.53 degrees, a shade over the previous record of 2005, according to the National Climatic Data Center.

Los Angeles had its hottest day in recorded history on Sept. 27: 113 degrees. In May, 129 set a record for Pakistan and may have been the hottest temperature recorded in an inhabited location.

In the U.S. Southeast, the year began with freezes in Florida that had cold-blooded iguanas becoming comatose and falling off trees. Then it became the hottest summer on record for the region. As the year ended, unusually cold weather was back in force.

Northern Australia had the wettest May-October on record, while the southwestern part of that country had its driest spell on record. And parts of the Amazon River basin struck by drought hit their lowest water levels in recorded history.


Disasters caused $222 billion in economic losses in 2010 — more than Hong Kong's economy — according to Swiss Re. That's more than usual, but not a record, Schraft said. That's because this year's disasters often struck poor areas without heavy insurance, such as Haiti.

Ghulam Ali's three-bedroom, one-story house in northwestern Pakistan collapsed during the floods. To rebuild, he had to borrow 50,000 rupees ($583) from friends and family. It's what many Pakistanis earn in half a year.


A volcano in Iceland paralyzed air traffic for days in Europe, disrupting travel for more than 7 million people. Other volcanoes in the Congo, Guatemala, Ecuador, the Philippines and Indonesia sent people scurrying for safety. New York City had a rare tornado.

A nearly 2-pound hailstone that was 8 inches in diameter fell in South Dakota in July to set a U.S. record. The storm that produced it was one of seven declared disasters for that state this year.

There was not much snow to start the Winter Olympics in a relatively balmy Vancouver, British Columbia, while the U.S. East Coast was snowbound.

In a 24-hour period in October, Indonesia got the trifecta of terra terror: a deadly magnitude 7.7 earthquake, a tsunami that killed more than 500 people and a volcano that caused more than 390,000 people to flee. That's after flooding, landslides and more quakes killed hundreds earlier in the year.

Even the extremes were extreme. This year started with a good sized El Nino weather oscillation that causes all sorts of extremes worldwide. Then later in the year, the world got the mirror image weather system with a strong La Nina, which causes a different set of extremes. Having a year with both a strong El Nino and La Nina is unusual.

And in the United States, FEMA declared a record number of major disasters, 79 as of Dec. 14. The average year has 34.

A list of day-by-day disasters in 2010 compiled by the AP runs 64 printed pages long.

Even though it sounds counterintuitive, global warming likely played a role in “Snowmageddon” earlier this year, Holland said. That's because with a warmer climate, there's more moisture in the air, which makes storms, including blizzards, more intense, he said.

Colorado's Bilham said the world's population is moving into riskier megacities on fault zones and flood-prone areas. He figures that 400 million to 500 million people in the world live in large cities prone to major earthquakes.

A Haitian disaster will happen again, Bilham said: "It could be Algiers. it could be Tehran. It could be any one of a dozen cities."

Climate change and global warming

According to the UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), climate disasters are on the rise. Around 70 percent of disasters are now climate related – up from around 50 percent from two decades ago. These disasters take a heavier human toll and come with a higher price tag. In the last decade, 2.4 billion people were affected by climate related disasters, compared to 1.7 billion in the previous decade and the cost of responding to disasters has risen tenfold between 1992 and 2008. Destructive sudden heavy rains, intense tropical storms, repeated flooding and droughts are likely to increase, as will the vulnerability of local communities in the absence of strong concerted action. Sea level rise may completely inundate certain areas.

The under water volcanoes and earthquakes have gone up 88% over the last three years. The continental earthquakes have gone up by 62% during the same time frame. The rate of increase of these earthquakes and volcanoes when drawn against time is staggering. We are experiencing hurricanes and storms like never seen before in recorded history. The intensity of these storms in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans are increasing exponentially. A simulation model monitoring the recent seismic disturbances – earthquakes and volcanoes show extreme disturbance in the outer and inner core of the earth. The interaction of the inner core and the rest of the earth cause the electromagnetic properties of the earth. The ongoing polar reversal is accelerating and will eventually have reverse polarity in North and South pole. According to the simulation model, the earth’s inner core and outer core is going through some serious disturbances. That in turn is influencing the viscous semi fluid mantle. When that happens, the convection within mantle increases substantially. That is also influenced by solar polar reversal. In our modern age we have not experienced a simultaneous solar and terrestrial polar reversal. Between now and 2012, these disturbances will keep increasing making earth’s crust and tectonic plates very disturbed causing severe volcanoes and earthquakes. Ice age, Heat waves, Polar reversal, super volcanic activities, massive earthquakes, Tsunamis, hurricanes – we are in the middle of all this.

The Earth's north magnetic pole is drifting away from North America so fast that it could end up in Siberia within 50 years, scientists have said. The shift could mean that Alaska will lose its northern lights, or auroras, which might then be more visible in areas of Siberia and Europe. The magnetic poles are different from geographic poles, the surface points marking the axis of Earth's rotation. Wandering poles previous studies have shown that the strength of the Earth's magnetic shield has decreased 10% over the past 150 years.

How many of you were aware of the fact that UN 'climate experts' predicted way back in 2005, that the year 2010 would be affecting millions of people duo to climate change or climate disaster? The headline goes as follows:

"By 2010, UN experts predict as many as 50 million people will flee environmental deterioration caused by climate change. Rising sea levels, expanding deserts and floods are already causing permanent migrations, says a new report.

By 2010, the world will have to cope with as many as 50 million people escaping the effects of environmental deterioration, the UN warned on 12 October, the international day for disaster reduction… "

I was unaware of this fact my self until recently. It’s not that these people are prophets, they just know more about what’s going on behind the scenes. All these events now happening are linked together. Let me explain briefly.

First, it’s a known fact (a fact even admitted by NASA in 2007) that Earth’s magnetosphere (which protects us from deadly radiation from our Sun) is actually weakening and opening up. Our Sun is also about to enter a new sun cycle called “sun cycle #24”, and the meaning of this is that our sun will enter a period when it will become as most active (during its pole shift), and this is believed to happen in 2012 and 2013, and it is expected to be the most violent sun event in recorded history. Our sun is growing more active, and it will continue do to so since it will play a mayor role in bringing about the end times and the return of Jesus Christ. So, while our magnetosphere which protects us from radiation is growing weak and opening up, our Sun in turn is growing more active. Are you following?

2 Peter 3:10-13: “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.”

More Active Sun Means Nasty Solar Storms Ahead
By SPACE News, posted: 09 June 2010: “The sun is about to get a lot more active, which could have ill effects on Earth… Solar storms occur when sunspots on our star erupt and spew out flumes of charged particles that can damage power systems. The sun's activity typically follows an 11-year cycle, and it looks to be coming out of a slump [sleep] and gearing up for an active period.

"The sun is waking up from a deep slumber, and in the next few years we expect to see much higher levels of solar activity," said Richard Fisher, head of NASA's Heliophysics Division. "At the same time, our technological society has developed an unprecedented sensitivity to solar storms. The intersection of these two issues is what we're getting together to discuss."

A major solar storm could cause twenty times more economic damage than Hurricane Katrina, warned the National Academy of Sciences in a 2008 report, "Severe Space Weather Events—Societal and Economic Impacts."

Whether or not NASA ever admits to it - it’s still a known fact that our Sun (and not preliminary human made events as they claim) has the greatest influence of earth's climate. The fact which proves this (besides that global warming is a solar system wide phenomenon) is that ever since NASA publicly announced the weakening of Earth’s magnetosphere in 2007, more planet wide disasters have taken place since then, and have ever been increasing. They will not just tell us that the world is about to end or that it’s about to enter a very rough period where billions might die, since that would cause panic. They will tell us eventually and, only parts of it (where few people look), as they have done so far. They will of course blame it on man, and solely on human made events, and by it make us look elsewhere. But the fact remains, whether the ‘experts’ ever want to admit to it – Jesus will soon be returning to Judge the living and the dead!
Moreover, the Sun may not only be affecting our Climate, but could be the cause of the uptick on Earthquakes as well.

Some scientists have become aware of a correlation between sunspots and Earthquakes and want to use the sunspot data to help predict earthquakes. The theory is that an intensification of the magnetic field can cause changes in the geosphere. The term geosphere is often used to refer to the densest parts of Earth, which consist mostly of rock and regolith. The NASA and the European Geosciences Union have already put their stamp of approval on the sunspot hypothesis, which suggests that certain changes in the sun-earth environment affects the magnetic field of the earth that can trigger earthquakes in areas prone to it. It is not clear how such a trigger might work.

Dr. Friedemann T. Freund, a professor in the Department of Physics, San Jose State University, and a senior researcher at NASA Ames Research Center. Dr. Freund writes, "Many strange phenomena precede large earthquakes. Some of them have been reported for centuries, even millennia. The list is long and diverse: bulging of the Earth's surface, changing well water levels, ground-hugging fog, low frequency electromagnetic emission, earthquake lights from ridges and mountain tops, magnetic field anomalies up to 0.5% of the Earth's dipole field, temperature anomalies by several degrees over wide areas as seen in satellite images, changes in the plasma density of the ionosphere, and strange animal behavior. Because it seems nearly impossible to imagine that such diverse phenomena could have a common physical cause, there is great confusion and even greater controversy."

“The missing link between the sunspots and earthquakes is the fact that the electric discharges to the Sun that cause sunspots can also affect the Earth's ionosphere. The ionosphere forms one "plate" of a capacitor, while the Earth forms the other. Changes of voltage on one plate will induce movement of charge on the other. But unlike a capacitor, the Earth also has charge distributed in rock beneath the surface. And if the subsurface rock has become semi-conducting because of stress, there is an opportunity for sudden electrical breakdown to occur through that rock. We should expect similar processes to occur underground as is found in atmospheric lightning. There will be precursor electromagnetic effects due to the small-scale travelling of charge – rather like "stepped leaders" between cloud and ground. That may be the limit of activity in small tremors. But in a large earthquake, the entire circuit may be involved, from below the Earth, through the atmosphere to the ionosphere. This would explain the massive disturbance of the ionosphere over a large area accompanying a major earthquake.”

“The mystery of the source of the current is solved – it comes from a charged Earth. And the link with sunspots via the ionosphere is exposed. Subterranean lightning causes earthquakes! Seismic waves are the rumble of underground thunder. Massive solar storm to hit Earth in 2012 with 'force of 100m bombs'
Melbourne, Aug 26 (ANI): Astronomers are predicting that a massive solar storm, much bigger in potential than the one that caused spectacular light shows on Earth earlier this month, is to strike our planet in 2012 with a force of 100 million hydrogen bombs.

Several US media outlets have reported that NASA was warning the massive flare this month was just a precursor to a massive solar storm building that had the potential to wipe out the entire planet's power grid.

Despite its rebuttal, NASA's been watching out for this storm since 2006 and reports from the US this week claim the storms could hit on that most Hollywood of disaster dates - 2012.

Similar storms back in 1859 and 1921 caused worldwide chaos, wiping out telegraph wires on a massive scale. The 2012 storm has the potential to be even more disruptive.

"The general consensus among general astronomers (and certainly solar astronomers) is that this coming Solar maximum (2012 but possibly later into 2013) will be the most violent in 100 years," quoted astronomy lecturer and columnist Dave Reneke as saying.

"A bold statement and one taken seriously by those it will affect most, namely airline companies, communications companies and anyone working with modern GPS systems.

"They can even trip circuit breakers and knock out orbiting satellites, as has already been done this year," added Reneke.

No one really knows what effect the 2012-2013 Solar Max will have on today's digital-reliant society.

Dr Richard Fisher, director of NASA's Heliophysics division, told Reneke the super storm would hit like "a bolt of lightning", causing catastrophic consequences for the world's health, emergency services and national security unless precautions are taken.

NASA said that a recent report by the National Academy of Sciences found that if a similar storm occurred today, it could cause "1 to 2 trillion dollars in damages to society's high-tech infrastructure and require four to 10 years for complete recovery".

The reason for the concern comes as the sun enters a phase known as Solar Cycle 24.

Most experts agree, although those who put the date of Solar Max in 2012 are getting the most press.

They claim satellites will be aged by 50 years, rendering GPS even more useless than ever, and the blast will have the equivalent energy of 100 million hydrogen bombs.

"We know it is coming but we don't know how bad it is going to be," Fisher told Reneke.

"Systems will just not work. The flares change the magnetic field on the Earth and it's rapid, just like a lightning bolt. That's the solar effect," he added.

The staggering number of earthquakes lately seems to support the theory (or fact) of a supposed doomsday event to take place in the near future. The latest major earthquake, a magnitude 7.0 located just 5 km underneath the South Island of New Zealand, exemplifies the ongoing up trend of earthquakes in 2010. USGS statistics indicate that we have already exceeded the normal number of magnitude 7 – 7.9 earthquakes that the world sees in one year and we still have three months to go. As of this post, 17 magnitude 7 – 7.9 earthquakes have shook the planet during 2010. Normally, through the 35th week of the year only 9 or 10 earthquakes of this magnitude have struck.

Christchurch – Canterbury New Zealand Earthquake
The magnitude 7.0 earthquake that struck at 4:35 AM during 4-Sep-2010 was centered near Christchurch New Zealand, located on a tectonic plate boundary between the Pacific and Australian tectonic plates. The epicenter was only 25 miles from the city of Christchurch, New Zealand’s 2nd largest urban area with a population of about 372,000. At least 500 buildings were destroyed, roads were cracked and torn, and a 3.5 meter fault line gash was ripped into the surface. The earthquake was the largest in New Zealand since 1931.
Of high concern amongst the rubble is the water supply. A damaged infrastructure of cracked and broken water and sewer pipes is leaving the population without safe drinking water and utilities.


What about the increase of volcanoes erupting worldwide. Is this an indicator of the approaching 2012 doomsday? What do the facts tell us? There were 62 volcanoes that had confirmed eruptions during this time (as of September 2010) according to volcano monitoring sites.

Is the dramatic Increase in Volcano Eruptions Happening Because we are getting Closer to 2012?

*The eruption of Iceland's Eyjafjallajökull volcano made headlines all over the globe, and it caused cancellations of thousands of flights in Europe because of the giant ash cloud that it produced.

*Scientists are warning that a second, much larger volcano in Iceland named Katla is showing signs that it may be about to erupt.

*A volcano known as Tungurahua (The "Throat of Fire") came to life last Friday morning, 130 kilometres southeast of Ecuador's capital, Quito, and exploded continuously through the night.

*Guatemala's Pacaya volcano, 50 kilometres south of Guatemala City, began erupting on Thursday afternoon.

*U.S. officials said on Monday that the rapid eruption of an underwater volcano in the Pacific Ocean has exhaled a steam and ash cloud in the air and left a trail of debris on the surface of the water near Sarigan Island in the Northern Mariana Islands.

*Costa Rica's Arenal volcano erupted recently, spewing geysers of lava, ash and toxic gases from its crater and forcing the evacuation of the national park where it is located.

*But it just isn't volcano eruptions that are increasing. We all know about the horrific earthquakes that happened in Haiti and Chile, and it is being reported that earthquakes are up 151 percent in 2010.

The reality is that we are seeing earth changes that are absolutely unprecedented in our lifetimes.

As we get closer to 2012 will these earth changes become even more dramatic?

Hopefully that is not the case, but there is no denying that the earth is starting to tremble.

So let us hope for the best and prepare for the worst. If all of this shaking keeps happening we could be headed into some very interesting times indeed.”

Most official sources will claim that volcanic activity has been constant and that it's not increasing. However, these same officials who claim this will also say things like, that earthquakes are not really increasing, and that we are paranoid to think this, and that all the rumblings going about around the world is fully normal. These people also claim things like that “climate change” or “global warming” is man-made and caused by our pollution prileminary. They also say things like that it's not proved that global warming or climate change is caused by the Sun. And others completely deny it, pointing finger at man, completely overlooking the fact that our whole solar system is being affected by global warming and climate change. How stupid do they think we are? The truth concerning these matters however, have already been dealt with and need no further commenting.


And what about the floods, do I even have to get into the floods? People have been affected all over the world, Pakistan, China, Europe, USA, Brazil, where all heavily hit with many “worst” floods ever in recorded history! I will quote from wikipedia:

"The 2010 Pakistan floods began in July 2010 following heavy monsoon rains in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan regions of Pakistan. Present estimates indicate that over two thousand people have died and over a million homes have been destroyed since the flooding began. The United Nations estimates that more than 21 million people are injured or homeless as a result of the flooding, exceeding the combined total of individuals affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the 2005 Kashmir earthquake and the 2010 Haiti earthquake. At one point, approximately one-fifth of Pakistan's total land area was underwater due to the flooding. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has asked for an initial $460 million for emergency relief, noting that the flood was the worst disaster he had ever seen."

Not only where the Pakistan floods the worst floods ever to hit the country, but its also said to be the worst “flood disaster ever” in the history of the world (excluding the deluge), according to some news sources.

“Victoria, Pakistan, Rio de Janeiro, Madeira. All of these states, countries, cities and islands have one thing in common; they have been hit badly by floods in 2010. The finger of blame should not be pointed solely at the common scapegoat of global warming, as an enquiry from the UN suggests. Back in April we heard how the most torrential rain for decades had caused landslides and flooding in Rio de Janeiro. Closer to home in Europe, the Portuguese island of Madeira, too, was hit by flash floods in February of this year. And the list goes on.”

And earlier this year; the flooding that took place in Rio de Janeiro, “and I can assure you”, a witness says, “that it looked like the biblical Flood, I mean, the rain didn't stop.” Frightening mile-wide tornadoes wreak havoc in Mississippi causing wide destruction, and on May 3rd 2010 Tennessee was hit by a historic flooding that have inundated highways, businesses and thousands of homes. — It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that something is going on here. But let's see what the US Corps of Engineers had to say about the recent flooding — “According to the Army Corps of Engineers, the flood that hit Nashville was a 1,000-year flood - an event that could be expected to happen once in every 1,000 years on average.” — The floods this year across the US have been particularly severe. US is not singled out, all Earth is affected by planet wide disaster!

Just these past few months (May, June), flooding around the Earth have been apocalyptic in nature. One severely hit area was Asia, particularly China. — Some headlines went as far as to declare “China Under Deluge”, so severe was the flooding. Another report said that “about 3 percent of China’s population (that's an incredible 42 million people!) have so far been impacted by torrential rain, flooding and landslides”. It goes on to say that “hundreds, possibly thousands of people have been killed, and many more are missing in southern China after days of apocalyptic rain, violent flooding and massive landslides... At least 100,000 homes have been destroyed or damaged, with millions of hectares (acres) of crops spoiled by the deadly deluge.” — In the Americas, particularly hard hit was the US with many other floods besides the ones mentioned. And Brazil too, with a most recent “apocalyptic flooding which swept away entire villages, killing dozens and causing thousands to disappear and massive landslides killing many, with hundreds more missing, leaving tens of thousands homeless as entire towns were destroyed and engulfed when dams burst and river levels rose,” one reporter said. — The recent flood disasters which affected large parts of Europe, was a particularly devastating series of weather events which occurred across several Central European countries. Poland was the worst affected with cities and towns covered in water and many casualties. Flash floods in Romania swept over entire communities killing dozens. The flooding that took place in France was the worst to hit the area in hundreds of years. Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Serbia and Ukraine were also affected by the recent flood apocalypse in Europe. The floods this year across Europe, US, China and the other parts of the world have been particularly severe with many first “worst floods” in recorded history, and 2010 have hardly even gone half through yet! No one is spared from this onslaught of doomsday! What on Earth is going on here? There's no doubt that there will be more strange and “new” weather anomalies worldwide to come in the very near future!

2010 Northern Hemisphere Summer Heat Wave

The heat wave this summer breaking all time records in many parts of the world seem to prove a more active Sun are having affects on Earth’s climate, and being the preliminary cause of Earth's Rising temperatures (so much for man-made global warming).

The 2010 Northern Hemisphere summer heat wave is a severe heat wave that impacted most of the United States, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Taiwan, China, North Africa and the European continent as a whole, along with parts of Canada, Russia, Indochina, South Korea and Japan during May, June, July and August 2010.

The heat wave during the summer of 2010 was at its worst in June over the eastern United States, Middle East, Eastern Europe and European Russia, and over Northeastern China and southeastern Russia. June 2010 marked the fourth consecutive warmest month on record globally, at 0.66 °C (1.22 °F) above average, while the period April-June was the warmest ever recorded for land areas in the Northern Hemisphere, at 1.25 °C (2.25 °F) above average. The previous record for the global average temperature in June was set in 2005 at 0.66 °C (1.19 °F), and the previous warm record for April-June over Northern Hemisphere land areas was 1.16 °C (2.09 °F), set in 2007.

The World Meteorological Organization stated that the recent heat waves, droughts and flooding events fit with predictions based on global warming for the 21st century, include those based on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's 2007 4th Assessment Report although still no specific weather events can be linked directly to climate warming [they can only come to such a conclusion by ignore the obvious culprit, the Sun].

The summer of 2010 will be remembered by millions of people around the world as the hottest in memory. In fact, it is probable that no warmer summer in the Northern Hemisphere has ever been experienced by so many people in world history; NOAA's National Climatic Data Center rated the summer of 2010 as the hottest in the Northern Hemisphere since record keeping began in 1880. From the densely populated I-95 corridor of the USA's mid-Atlantic region (New York City to Virginia), the entire region of western Russia (St. Petersburg to the Caspian region) and for almost all of Japan, there has never in modern records been such a warm meteorological (meaning June-August) summer.

China and Japan
China recorded its warmest July and August since 1961, and June was the warmest on record for the northern third of the country. Beijing recorded temperatures of 106° on July 5 and 6, tying its all-time record for July. Some parts of the city reached 111° on those days. China also had its hottest temperature on record for an inhabited place, a reading of 48.7°C (119.7°F) at Tuyoq on June 20 (the record for an automated station is the 49.7°C that occurred on August 3, 2008 at Aydingkol.) Japan experienced its hottest summer since records began in 1898. August was Japan's single hottest month on record.

Palestine records its hottest temperature in history
The State of Palestine, the portion of the territories occupied by Israel that declared independence in 1988, recorded its hottest temperature since record keeping began on August 7, 2010, when the temperature hit 51.4°C (124.5°F) at Kibbutz Almog (also called Qalya or Kalya) in the Jordan Valley. The previous record for Palestine was set on June 22, 1942, at the same location.

Palestine was the 4th nation to set an all-time hottest temperature in history record this month, and the 18th to set such a record this year. There has also been one nation (Guinea) that set an all-time coldest temperature in history record this year. Note that many countries, including the U.S., do not recognize Palestine as a nation, though 110 countries do recognize it. Palestine, the portion of the territories occupied by Israel that declared independence in 1988, recorded its hottest temperature since record keeping began on August 7, 2010, when the temperature hit 51.4°C (124.5°F) at Kibbutz Almog (also called Qalya or Kalya) in the Jordan Valley. The previous record for Palestine was set on June 22, 1942, at the same location.

Belarus recorded its hottest temperature in its history on August 6, 2010, when the mercury hit 38.7°C (101.7°F) in Gorky. The previous record was 38.0°C (100.4°F) set at Vasiliyevichy on Aug. 20, 1946.

Ukraine tied its record for hottest temperature in its history when the mercury hit 41.3°C (106.3°F) at Lukhansk on August 1, 2010. Ukraine also reached 41.3°C on July 20 and 21, 2007, at Voznesensk.

Cyprus recorded its hottest temperature in its history on August 1, 2010 when the mercury hit 46.6°C (115.9°F) at Lefconica. The old record for Cyprus was 44.4°C (111.9°F) at Lefkosia in August 1956. An older record of 46.6°C from July 1888 was reported from Nicosia, but is of questionable reliability.

Finland recorded its hottest temperature on July 29, 2010, when the mercury hit 99°F (37.2°C) at Joensuu. The old (undisputed) record was 95°F (35°C) at Jyvaskyla on July 9, 1914.

Qatar had its hottest temperature in history on July 14, 2010, when the mercury hit 50.4°C (122.7°F) at Doha Airport.

Russia had its hottest temperature in history on July 11, when the mercury rose to 44.0°C (111.2°F) in Yashkul, Kalmykia Republic, in the European portion of Russia near the Kazakhstan border. The previous hottest temperature in Russia (not including the former Soviet republics) was the 43.8°C (110.8°F) reading measured at Alexander Gaj, Kalmykia Republic, on August 6, 1940. The remarkable heat in Russia this year has not been limited just to the European portion of the country--the Asian portion of Russia also recorded its hottest temperature in history this year, a 42.7°C (108.9°F) reading at Kara, in the Chita Republic on June 24. The 42.3°C (108.1°F) reading on June 25 at Belogorsk, near the Amur River border with China, also beat the old record for the Asian portion of Russia. The previous record for the Asian portion of Russia was 41.7°C (107.1°F) at Aksha on July 21, 2004.

The almost unbelievable heat wave that affected western Russia was unprecedented for that region, and also was one of the deadliest heat waves in world history. The heat wave's death toll in Moscow alone was estimated by a city official to be approximately 11,000 in July and August. Russia's 2nd largest city, St. Petersburg, reached 98.8°F (37.1°C) on August 7--the hottest ever recorded there, and 7°F hotter than its prior all-time heat record. Moscow recorded its hottest temperature since records began in 1878 (downtown observatory), with 102.2°F (39.0°C) on July 29. This surpassed the previous record (set in 1921) by 4°F, although the 98° old record from 1921 was exceeded on 4 days during July and August. The month of July was an amazing 15° above average in Moscow.

Sudan recorded its hottest temperature in its history on June 25 when the mercury rose to 49.6°C (121.3°F) at Dongola. The previous record was 49.5°C (121.1°F) set in July 1987 in Aba Hamed.

Niger tied its record for hottest day in history on June 22, 2010, when the temperature reached 47.1°C (116.8°F) at Bilma. That record stood for just one day, as Bilma broke the record again on June 23, when the mercury topped out at 48.2°C (118.8°F). The previous record was 47.1°C on May 24, 1998, also at Bilma.

Saudi Arabia had its hottest temperature ever on June 22, 2010, with a reading of 52.0°C (125.6°F) in Jeddah, the second largest city in Saudi Arabia. The previous record was 51.7°C (125.1°F), at Abqaiq, date unknown. The record heat was accompanied by a sandstorm, which caused eight power plants to go offline, resulting in blackouts to several Saudi cities.

Chad had its hottest day in history on June 22, 2010, when the temperature reached 47.6°C (117.7°F) at Faya. The previous record was 47.4°C (117.3°F) at Faya on June 3 and June 9, 1961.

Kuwait recorded its hottest temperature in history on June 15 in Abdaly, according to the Kuwait Met office. The mercury hit 52.6°C (126.7°F). Kuwait's previous all-time hottest temperature was 51.9°C (125.4°F), on July 27,2007, at Abdaly. Temperatures reached 51°C (123.8°F) in the capital of Kuwait City on June 15, 2010.

Iraq had its hottest day in history on June 14, 2010, when the mercury hit 52.0°C (125.6°F) in Basra. Iraq's previous record was 51.7°C (125.1°F) set August 8, 1937, in Ash Shu'aybah.

Pakistan had its hottest temperature in history on May 26, when the mercury hit an astonishing 53.5°C (128.3°F) at the town of MohenjuDaro, according to the Pakistani Meteorological Department. While this temperature reading must be reviewed by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) for authenticity, not only is the 128.3°F reading the hottest temperature ever recorded in Pakistan, it is the hottest reliably measured temperature ever recorded on the continent of Asia.

Myanmar (Burma) had its hottest temperature in its recorded history on May 12, when the mercury hit 47°C (116.6°F) in Myinmu, according to the Myanmar Department of Meteorology and Hydrology. Myanmar's previous hottest temperature was 45.8°C (114.4°F) at Minbu, Magwe division on May 9, 1998. According to Chris Burt, the 47°C measured this year is the hottest temperature in Southeast Asia history.

Ascention Island (St. Helena, a U.K. Territory) had its hottest temperature in history on March 25, 2010, when the mercury hit 34.9°C (94.8°C) at Georgetown. The previous record was 34.0°C (93.2°F) at Georgetown in April 2003, exact day unknown.

The Solomon Islands had their hottest temperature in history on February 1, 2010, when the mercury hit 36.1°C (97°F) at Lata Nendo (Ndeni). The previous record for Solomon Islands was 35.6°C (96.0°F) at Honaiara, date unknown.

Colombia had its hottest temperature in history on January 24, 2010, when Puerto Salgar hit 42.3°C (108°F). The previous record was 42.0°C (107.6°F) at El Salto in March 1988 (exact day unknown).

Hottest day in Los Angeles history
The mercury hit a blistering 113°F (45.0°C) at 12:15 pm PDT on 27 Sep 2010 in downtown Los Angeles, making it the hottest day in Los Angeles history. It may have gotten hotter, but the thermometer broke shortly after the record high was set. The previous record in Los Angeles was 112°F set on June 26, 1990; records go back to 1877. Nearby Long Beach tied its hottest all-time temperature yesterday, with a scorching 111°F. And a station in the foothills at 1260' elevation near Beverly Hills owned by the Los Angeles Fire Department hit 119°F yesterday--the hottest temperature ever measured in the Los Angeles area, tying the 119°F reading from Woodland Hills on July 22, 2006. Yesterday's record heat was caused by an unusually large and intense upper-level high pressure system centered over Nevada that generated winds blowing from the land to the ocean, keeping the ocean from exerting its usual cooling influence. Remarkably, Los Angeles had its second coldest summer on record this year, and temperatures just five days ago were some the coldest September temperatures in the region for the past 50 years.

The period January - July was the warmest such 7-month period in the planet's history, and temperatures over Earth's land regions were at record highs in May, June, and July, according to the National Climatic Data Center. It is not a surprise that many all-time extreme heat records are being shattered when the planet as a whole is so warm. Global warming [actually, increased Sun activity] seems to favor extreme heat events unprecedented in recorded history.

The year 2010 now has the most national extreme heat records for a single year--eighteen. These nations comprise 19% of the total land area of Earth. This is the largest area of Earth's surface to experience all-time record high temperatures in any single year in the historical record. Looking back at the past decade, which was the hottest decade in the historical record, seventy-five counties set extreme hottest temperature records (33% of all countries.) For comparison, fifteen countries set extreme coldest temperature records over the past ten years (6% of all countries).

Causes of the Russian heat wave and Pakistani floods

The Great Russian Heat Wave of 2010 is one of the most intense, widespread, and long-lasting heat waves in world history. Only the European heat wave of 2003, which killed 35,000 - 50,000 people, and the incredible North American heat wave of July 1936, which set all-time extreme highest temperature records in fifteen U.S. states, can compare. All of these heat waves were caused by a highly unusual kink in the jet stream that remained locked in place for over a month. The jet stream is an upper-level river of air, between the altitudes of about 30,000 - 40,000 feet (10,000 - 12,000 meters). In July over Europe and Asia, the jet stream has two branches: a strong southern "subtropical" jet that blows across southern Europe, and a weaker "polar" jet that blows across northern Europe. The polar jet stream carries along the extratropical cyclones (lows) that bring the midlatitudes most of their precipitation. The polar jet stream also acts as the boundary between cold, Arctic air, and warm tropical air. If the polar jet stream shifts to the north of its usual location, areas just to its south will be much hotter and drier than normal. In July 2010, a remarkably strong polar jet stream developed over northern Europe. This jet curved far to the north of Moscow, then plunged southwards towards Pakistan. This allowed hot air to surge northwards over most of European Russia, and prevented rain-bearing low pressure systems from traveling over the region. These rain-bearing low pressure systems passed far to the north of European Russia, then dove unusually far to the south, into northern Pakistan. The heavy rains from these lows combined with Pakistan's usual summer monsoon rains to trigger Pakistan's most devastating floods in history.

What caused this unusual jet stream pattern?
The unusual jet stream pattern that led to the 2010 Russian heat wave and Pakistani floods began during the last week of June, and remained locked in place all of July and for the first half of August. Long-lived "blocking" episodes like this are usually caused by unusual sea surface temperature patterns, according to recent research done using climate models. For example, Feudale and Shukla (2010) found that during the summer of 2003, exceptionally high sea surface temperatures of 4°C (7°F) above average over the Mediterranean Sea, combined with unusually warm SSTs in the northern portion of the North Atlantic Ocean near the Arctic, combined to shift the jet stream to the north over Western Europe and create the heat wave of 2003. I expect that the current SST pattern over the ocean regions surrounding Europe played a key role in shifting the jet stream to create the heat wave of 2010. Note that the SST anomaly pattern is quite different this year compared to 2003, which may be why this year's heat wave hit Eastern Europe, and the 2003 heat wave hit Western Europe. Sun-caused climate change also may have played a role and has at least doubled the risk of severe heat waves like the great 2003 European heat wave.

Hurricane anomalies

With Karl's ascension to major hurricane status, we are now ahead of the pace of the terrible hurricane seasons of 2004 and 2005 for number of major hurricanes so early in the year. In 2005, the fifth major hurricane (Rita) did not occur until September 21, and in 2004, the fifth major hurricane (Karl) arrived on September 19. The last time we had five major hurricanes earlier in the season was in 1961, when the fifth major hurricane (Esther) arrived on September 13. This morning we continue to have three simultaneous hurricanes, Hurricanes Igor, Julia, and Karl. This is a rare phenomena, having occurred only eight previous years since 1851. The last time we had three simultaneous hurricanes in the Atlantic was in 1998. That year also had four simultaneous hurricanes--Georges, Ivan, Jeanne and Karl--for a brief time on September 25. There has been just one other case of four simultaneous Atlantic hurricanes, on August 22, 1893. The year 2005 came within six hours of having three hurricanes at the same time, but the official data base constructed after the season was over indicates that the three hurricanes did not exist simultaneously.

Also remarkable this year is that are seeing major hurricanes in rare or unprecedented locations. Julia was the strongest hurricane on record so far east, Karl was the strongest hurricane so far south in the Gulf of Mexico, and Earl was the 4th strongest Atlantic hurricane so far north. This unusual major hurricane activity is likely due, in part, to the record Atlantic sea surface temperatures this year.

For the first time in twelve years, we have a rare triple threat in the Atlantic--three simultaneous hurricanes. Hurricane Karl joined Hurricanes Igor and Julia in the steadily expanding Hurricanes of 2010 club this morning, becoming the sixth hurricane of the season. The last time we had three simultaneous hurricanes in the Atlantic was in 1998. That year also had four simultaneous hurricanes--Georges, Ivan, Jeanne and Karl--for a brief time on September 25. There has been just one other case of four simultaneous Atlantic hurricanes, on August 22, 1893. According to Phil Klotzbach at Colorado State, three simultaneous Atlantic hurricanes is a rare phenomena, having occurred only eight other times since 1851. The other years were 1893, 1926, 1950, 1961, 1967, 1980, 1995, and 1998.

Why Have Natural Disasters Increased?

Why such drastic escalation in natural disasters–earthquakes, tsunamis, destructive storms, floods, fires, mudslides, extremes of temperatures—which take the figures right off the record charts since statistics have been recorded?

Well, there is a reason. But it is only apparent to those who, in unbiased, clear-minded fashion, link the facts on the ground with the history of the past and the reality of inerrant Bible prophecies for the future.

There is a prophecy in your Bible that speaks of the world reaching a time when catastrophic events prophesied by humanity’s Creator which were once delayed in their fulfillment for a great purpose would no longer be held back by the hand of God. These climactic events were predestined to be delayed in their inevitable fulfillment to allow a great purpose to come to fruition. They were delayed to allow for the good news of His coming Kingdom on Earth to “be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations” before earthshaking events would herald His return (Matthew 24:14). After that, those events would be no longer delayed. A point in time would be reached when they would break out suddenly and dramatically to shock the world with their destructive force. That’s the only way God has ever been able to grab the attention of humanity!

Those prophesied catastrophes were to be a dramatic warning sign to humankind of the sudden, direct, imminent intervention in human affairs by the Creator God Himself! This was to be a warning sign especially to those who ought to know better than to live the prevailing life of immoral, godless profligacy that has so taken over their society today.

It was Jesus Christ Himself, whose death and resurrection many will soon celebrate, who declared that before His return to Earth, “there shall be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in divers places.” (Matthew 24:7), and that these events only were the “the beginnings of sorrows.”

What about 2012-?

Disaster models show that the impact of natural disasters could be about 600 percent more severe in 2012 onward compared with the previous years.
Based on the findings, we estimate that between one-third and one-half of the world population could be affected in some way by various disasters that are forecast to occur in 2012.
